Bounties
Sometimes the Wildlands demand more than routine Hunts.
When threats grow too large, too strange, or too inconvenient for polite society, key figures in Faenora (most often the Financier) issue Bounties: time-limited, community-driven objectives that reward Hunters for slaying specific enemies under special conditions.
Bounties are not ordinary Hunts. They are coordinated efforts, public challenges, and occasionally thinly veiled panic responses wrapped in gold and bravado.
What Is a Bounty?
A Bounty is a special Hunt objective where Hunters are tasked with defeating a specific enemy (or group of enemies) within a defined time window.
Key characteristics:
Targets a specific enemy type
Often features enhanced enemy stats
Rewards all participating Hunters if objectives are met
Includes MCHY rewards and sometimes USDC bonus pools
Progress is tracked globally, not per player
If a Bounty fails, the danger remains, so the Bounty continues the following weekend.
Where Bounties Are Announced
For now, all Bounties are announced publicly in the FaenoraVerse Discord, usually by:
The Financier
Royal messengers
Moochkin (sometimes nervously)
These announcements include:
Lore context
Enemy modifiers
Requirements
Reward structure
Start and end timing
In the future, Bounties may appear in-game, be issued by additional NPCs, or target specific groups (including Guild-only Bounties).
How Bounty Progress Works
Bounties have two components:
1. Community Kill Targets
The realm must collectively defeat a required number of enemies.
Example objectives:
Slay 10 Golden Dragons
Kill 4,000 Ghosts
Defeat 10,000 Skeletons
Progress is shared across all Hunters. Every kill matters.
2. Milestone-Based Rewards
Some Bounties unlock bonus rewards if higher thresholds are reached.
Common milestones include:
Base completion
Bonus tiers
Prestige thresholds (for truly excessive violence)
Each tier increases rewards, usually in USDC payouts or bonus items.
Rewards
Bounty rewards are deliberately layered to encourage participation at all levels.
MCHY Rewards
Often distributed proportionally based on individual contribution (kills)
Some bounties pay per kill, others split a fixed pool
MCHY rewards carry over if a Bounty fails and repeats
USDC Bonus Pools
Optional, milestone-based rewards
Typically unlocked only if higher community goals are reached
Do not carry over if a Bounty fails
Split among all Hunters who contributed meaningfully (usually 1+ kill)
The Financier insists this is to “encourage urgency.” Others call it leverage.
Bonus Drops
Some Bounties also grant:
Welcome Chests
Event Chests
Special items
One-time cosmetic rewards
These are usually capped per Hunter.
Failure and Carryover
If a Bounty is not completed within its active window (usually a weekend):
The Bounty repeats in the next cycle
MCHY rewards apply to Bounty kills across all active windows for the Bounty
USDC bonus pools are no longer available for the Bounty
Heroes may be available for purchase to assist players to complete the Bounty
Progress requirements may increase or escalate
Failure is not punished, but it is remembered.
Requirements & Difficulty
Bounties are not designed for everyone.
Each Bounty specifies:
Minimum Party Level
Recommended Equipment Level
Enemy Modifiers (HP, ATK, MAG, speed, etc.)
Ignoring these warnings is technically allowed. But foolish as survival is not guaranteed.
Example: Community Bounty Breakdown
Objective: Slay 4,000 Ghosts Enemy Modifiers: +100% HP +20% All Stats
Base Requirement: 4,000 kills Bonus Milestones:
6,000 kills → 150 USDC pool
8,000 kills → 300 USDC pool
12,000 kills → 600 USDC pool
MCHY Pool: 150,000 MCHY Distributed per kill, with the rate adjusting based on final milestone reached.
You hunt harder. The pool stretches further. Everyone wins. Eventually.
Special Bounty Types
Guild Bounties (Future)
Some Bounties may eventually be:
Guild-exclusive
Faction-based
Competitive between groups
Only a fool claims to know what the future holds in Wildlands.
Strategic Notes
Early participation matters: Milestones can change payout efficiency.
Efficiency beats endurance: Smart builds outperform brute grinding.
Bounties reward coordination: Community momentum is real.
Discord is required (for now): If you miss the announcement, you miss the Hunt.
“A bounty is just a problem with a price tag. The trick is deciding whether you’re hunting the monster… or letting the monster hunt your weekend.” — The Financier
