Fen Currency
Not all that glitters is MCHY. In the Wildlands, you’ll also come across Fen - the royal currency of Faenora, a lingering relic of the empire that abandoned the Wildlands to almost certain death.
What Is Fen?
Fen is a physical coin currency still mysteriously found in the pockets, pouches, and occasionally, stomachs of defeated monsters.
No one’s quite sure why they carry it. Some say it’s cursed loot, others claim it’s divine irony. Either way - if you see it, pick it up.
How to Earn Fen
Defeat Enemies: Monsters and beasts alike occasionally drop Fen upon defeat.
Boss Fights: Larger foes tend to hoard more. Perhaps they were saving up for something nice before you arrived.
Spending Fen
Fen can be spent with the Merchant during Hunts. Use it to restock supplies, grab potions, or trade for equipment while deep in the Wildlands. Just don’t get too attached to it.
Returning Home
When you return to Donegal after a Hunt, Imperial guards are waiting at the gate. Without a word, they confiscate all your Fen. Every. Single. Time.
No explanation. No receipt. No refunds. Just polite nods and a chilling efficiency that suggests this isn’t their first confiscation. How rude.
