rotateRevealing & Re-rolling

In Faenora, no Hunter’s story truly begins until they’re revealed. Beneath every unrevealed token lies a potential legend or a Squire who faints at the sight of his own shadow. It’s a gamble. A glorious, chaotic gamble.

Revealing Your Hunters

Where to Reveal Revealing takes place in the Wallet Management Screen, accessible when you first connect your wallet and anytime afterward through Settings → Wallet (in Donegal).

When you reveal a Hunter, four key traits are unveiled:

  • Rarity – Determines your Hunter’s potential strength and access to higher-grade equipment.

  • Class – Defines combat role and skill progression (can later be changed at the Dojo).

  • Appearance – The visual look of your Hunter (can later be changed at the Tailor).

  • Innate Skill – A unique passive trait tied to your Hunter’s soul. Permanent, powerful, and occasionally ridiculous.

While Class and Appearance can evolve, your Rarity and Innate Skill are immutable - the eternal fingerprint of your Hunter’s fate. Treasure it. Or curse it. Or both. Preferably while streaming.

Re-Rolling Hunters

Sometimes, fate deals you a Common Hunter with the soul of a houseplant and the wit of a gnat. That’s where Re-rolling comes in. You can Re-roll your Hunters at the Barracks for MCHY or by using a Re-roll Voucher.

Re-rolling a Hunter gives you a completely fresh start:

  • Your Hunter resets to Level 1.

  • You receive a new Rarity, new Innate Skill, new Class, and new Appearance.

  • All progress, equipment and injuries are wiped clean.

  • The old you is gone. The new you? That's a roll of the dice.

Re-Rolling can also be a merciful option when your Hunter has perished and you’d rather not pay revival costs at the Inn.

“I call it selective reincarnation. Others call it tax evasion from destiny.” – Moochkin

Rarity & Class Roll Chances

Every time you reveal or re-roll a Hunter, the cosmic dice of Faenora spin — determining not only who your new companion is, but how extraordinary (or extraordinarily average) they’ll be.

Revealing a Hunter isn’t about luck. It’s about pretending it was skill all along. So cross your fingers, make jazz hands, do what you need to do - no one's watching (unless you're streaming, then your audience will join in your jazz hands-ing, probably).

Rarity Distribution

Each newly revealed or re-rolled Hunter has a chance to emerge at one of four rarity tiers. Higher rarities unlock better base stats, more equipment slots, and the right to feel mildly superior to your friends.

Rarity

% Chance

Common

78.00%

Rare

15.00%

Epic

6.00%

Legendary

1.00%

“If you pull a Legendary on your first try, congratulations. If not… statistically, that’s everyone else.” – The local Donegal statistician, currently unemployed

Even Common Hunters can fell Netherbeasts with enough luck, clever tactics and an unhealthy disregard for safety.

Class Distribution

Each Hunter’s class determines their initial combat role, stat scaling and skill progression. While any rarity can roll any class, these are the base class odds when revealing or re-rolling a Mercenary:

Class

% Chance

Squire

49.00%

Maiden

49.00%

Archer

0.40%

Knight

0.40%

Fighter

0.40%

Cleric

0.40%

Witch

0.40%

Strategy Tips

  • Rare + Right Innate = Keep It. Some combinations are worth building your whole squad around.

  • Unhappy with a roll? Re-roll early, before investing XP, gear and emotional attachment.

  • Higher Rarities = More Equipment Slots, which also means more Equipment Skills and synergy potential.

  • Innate Skills can be game-changing. “Professional”, “Keener”, and others that boost Battle Actions or survivability are prized.

  • Re-rolling isn’t failure. It’s just aggressive optimization.
