You’ll hear it before you see it: a strange hum, the clatter of tools and the faint smell of singed fur and unappreciated genius. Moochkin’s Pod isn’t just a shop. It’s an interdimensional battered space pod stuffed with half-finished inventions, scavenged artifacts and things that technically work (most of the time). Inexplicably, Moochkin's Pod is available to you no matter where you are on a Hunt.

The red-panda inventor extraordinaire accepts both MCHY tokens (for his self-made contraptions) and Nethershards (for whatever he’s “borrowed” from other realms). He’s a tinkerer, trader and chaos engine rolled into one.

Some say his Pod crashed into the Wildlands by accident. Moochkin says it was a controlled crash destined by the Great Ones. Either way, he’s been making the best of it, one gadget at a time.

The Retractkin+

The Retractkin+ is Moochkin’s pride and joy. A masterpiece of applied chaos theory and improbable engineering. Originally designed for a “hero with a magical amulet”, it allows Hunters to secure their equipment and valuables from the pains of death and the Kingdom’s enthusiastic taxation system. It is unclear which is less relenting.

Lesser versions of the Retractkin supposedly exist. Moochkin denies selling them but admits they’re “probably out there somewhere, held together by hope and spare parts”. For now, he only offers the premium Retractkin+ model: durable, stable and blessedly un-explosive.

The Escape Portal

The Escape Portal is Moochkin’s take on survival instinct, condensed into a conveniently throwable gadget. When a Hunt turns sour, activate the portal to instantly withdraw your squad from combat — preserving your Hunters, gear, and sanity (in that order).

It’s single-use and not without risk. Occasionally it drops you a few feet off target — like the ceiling of the Donegal Inn — but Moochkin swears the landing is “mostly soft.”

If you see a Netherbeast and think ‘I can take it without an Escape Portal’, your mind has gone and you cannot trust your own thoughts. Reality and logic have escaped you. Resign yourself to an inescapable future of despair. Or just get your act together and get an Escape Portal.

Moochkin doesn’t just tinker with machines; he peddles in artifacts that tamper with reality. Or at least point you in a different direction.

Changes your middle path into a guaranteed Dojo encounter, letting your units promote to top tier, no-nonsense hunting machines (that would still be wise to avoid Moochkin's wrench).

Both items are purchased with Nethershards, which Moochkin claims are “completely valueless and useless so you might as well give them to me, so I can just hoard them away and definitely not use them to try to repair my space pod to restore the space-time continuum and rescue my homeworld, family and friends from being lost in an infinite dimensional void".
